Have you ever stop to think "What if God was one of us?" and approached us as a homeless person to test our faith? I told a couple of friends about my experience with Jim, they told me to share it with the rest of the world. So here it goes.
When I was in Vegas last week with my mom & Dad we stopped at In & Out Burger to get a late bite to eat. The weather was warm outside so we ate outdoors. As we ate I keep looking at this man digging in the trash and picking up half used cigarette butts to smoke (Eck!) He keeped inching his way toward us. He finally approached us and without looking at us he said " Excuse me do you think you could buy me a hamburger?" I thought Huh, He doesn't want money wow. So I happily responded of course. What would you like a number 1, 2 or 3 he said just a hamburger Mame. Without hesitation I walked inside In & Out and ordered his meal a Number 1 double double, fries and a drink. I also gave him some money and half a box of my cigarettes ( Okay yes I smoke) I happily gave it to this man and as I looked in his eyes I saw a human being who was so down on his luck and hurting to get back on his feet. He Thanked me for his meal and turned towards an empty table next to us. As we finished our meal, I heard Jim softly Praying to God. Wow this I have to hear as I lean over his way I could hear him say;

God, Thank you for this meal you have provided for me today, God you know how hungry I have been and thank you God for providing me something warm to eat. AMEN
Okay now I had tears coming down my checks and as I look towards my Mom & Dad they too had tears.
As I was listening to Jim pray he sounded like a little child thanking his father for his meal.
It was such a special moment. As we got up to leave I told Jim, " God loves him and God will always provide just believe and trust in him. He said yes Mame I know!

Here is another little story that happen to me while in Vegas. I don't know this lady name but lets call her Betty Sue the Truckers wife. Really she was a Truckers wife as I was waiting on Jim's In & Out order Betty Sue and her Trucker husband were waiting on their order. We got to talking. I love Betty Sue she came on to me pretty strong as if I knew her all my life I fell in love with this funny little woman with a funny little accent that made me wished I had all night to chat with her.
Betty Sue: GIRL, Don't you look all purdy in them there fancy clothes ahhh heck you just purdy as a picture.
Me: Oh thank you, you look real cute yourself in your Blue sweatsuit and Blue shoes and she also had blue fingernail polish. Ha!
Betty Sue: Nawwww you be lookin all snappy like them fancy ladies on the Tv. I'm ugly look ( As she opened her mouth) I ain't got a whole lotta teeth.
Me: Trying not to laugh cause she was so darn cute I thought let me show her!
( Last week I had my back teeth pulled from the dentist and let's not forget a lower tooth missing)- (This is from my drug use years ago. It's now affecting my teeth) I go in to see a specialist in two weeks to have veneers put on.
Anyways I too opened my mouth and said Look at me! I too have missing teeth. She laughed and gave me a hug. I told her see I'm just as beautiful as YOU! and I went on saying to her Just because you have missing teeth does not mean you are ugly. You are such a beautiful Lady starting from the inside out. And God loves you for you, God don't make ugly.
Betty Sue: Ya but you got all them fancy thingy's on
Me: That don't make a person beautiful what makes a person beautiful is how you feel on the inside and how you act. Stop letting the devil run your mind and stop believing what he tells you. and as I got ready to leave I gave her my bracelet and said "Now you just as beautiful as me, with that fancy bracelet on! She smiled
Betty Sue: Oh okay I won't listen to that dirty old devil " Devil you go to Hell!"
Me: That's right girl you tell him, Remember Jesus loves you and so do I.
There are so many people out there who just needs hear that Jesus loves them. It really make such a big difference in their lives to have a stranger reach out to them and treat them with the same respect we all want and let's not judge them because the way they look or act. They are the same as you and me and we all share the same father who never judges and loves us unconditionally.
So remember when you see a Jim or Betty Sue remember my story.
